Happy Birthday Jayden!!!

My baby turned 3 on Saturday, the 29th. I can't believe it. I took him to the store to pick out his birthday cake and had to have the Diego cake as soon as he laid eyes on it. He was so excited to blow out the candles and to have everyone sing "Happy Birthday" to him. But of course he had to sing along with everyone. He was fascinated by the smoke the candles made after he blew them out and loved licking the frosting off of anything he could.

Jayden is now ready for Baseball and Soccer. He got his very own baseball mit and soccer goal that cheers for him when he kicks the ball in the net. To bad it was raining/snowing all day but he was able to practice down stairs.

Just for an update on Jayden he is offically potty trained, YEAH!!! He has moved up in Gymnastics, so now he and TJ are in the same class. And keeps telling me he wants to go to preschool with TJ. I have to keep reminding him it will be his turn in September. He loves to sing, jump, sing and jump some more. He is a ball of energy and continues to come up with new ways to make me laugh everyday.

It's Easter Time...

Am I the only one that was not ready for Easter this year. It seems so weird for it to be in March. Good thing that doesn't happen to often.

The Easter Bunny heard through the grapevine that the boys love to fish. So in preparation for this summer the EB decided to get the boys fishing poles. What a hit the fishing poles were but the EB didn't think about how bad the boys would want to go fishing at that very moment. So for the rest of the day I had to explain to the boys we had to wait until all the ice was out of the water or the boat would break. That has seemed to hold them off for the time being but I am not sure how long that will last.

We had an Easter Egg hunt with all the cousins at their grandma's house. We had been a little nervous because the snow has not been melting. Thank goodness for that little warm up the week before Easter to help with the snow removal.

We also had an easter egg hunt at Boone's house. TJ & Dallan were sporting the mohawk look. And Jayden was mad because we were still hiding some of the eggs and he was ready to go right now.

The chocolate bunnies were a hit this year. That was all the TJ wanted and when he got 3 of them he was so excited. I think the boys were on a sugar high the whole weekend but hey, isn't that what easter is all about.

We're back!!!

OK.... So it has been forever since I have posted. Hopefully I will be able to update a little more frequently and that my pictures will actually post correctly. SO, this is what we have been up to....

We took the boys and their cousin Carson out to Hardware Ranch for a sleigh ride to see the elk. The boys have really liked going and seeing the deer, moose & elk during hunting season so needless to say, when they saw the elk up close and personal they loved it. There apparently was more elk this year than there has been for years. I can't believe how big some of them were.

We took a trip up to my families cabin in Bear Lake with my cousin and his family. We had a great time. We spent the day sledding and snowmobiling. There are some great hills right in front of the cabin and both boys ventured down the hills by themselves.

Boy it is bright out here. I tried to get a picture with the boys but anywhere we tried the would not stop coving their faces. The just kept telling me "I can't see, the snow is to bright."

While we were getting everything ready to go snowmobiling, TJ got a little excited and hit the gas. So now he can officially say his has been snowmobiling by himself. It scared him a little bit but the 2 feet he moved wasn't bad. I don't think he will play around with the snowmobiles anymore.

TJ turned 5 on January 24th. He is so excited to be 5 but keeps telling me next year he will be 6 and then 7, all the way up to 12. The sad thing is before I know it he will be 6 and then 7 and then 12. Times go by way to fast.

TJ had a birthday party at school and was very excited to share his Thomas cake and balloons with all his friends.

We also had a party with all the family to celebrate TJ, Carson, Taylor and Maranda's birthdays.

With all the snow that has been flying around here, my dad had to go and get his skid loader to move all the piles he made with his snow blower. Jayden had a great time with grandpa moving the snow.

Time for hair cuts!!! We had our cousins over one day to play and when I came out into the family room this is what I found. The kids found TJ's tools and thought it would be a great way to cut hair. It is amazing what a plasic saw and plyers can do. I had to remind them all that the only thing they can cut hair with is the plastic tools. Needless to say I found all the scissors I have and hid them.

So there you go. Those are just some of the highlights from the beginning of the year. We are still busy with school and gymnastics and everyday living but I will try to be better at keeping the blog updated.
