Graduation Day

Today TJ graduated from Preschool. They had a really cute program where the kids sung songs they learned and showed us the alphabet in sign language. TJ has made some really good friends this year and has learned alot. I can't believe the school year is already over and that he will be starting Kindergarten in the fall. Congrats TJ!!!!

Our day out with Thomas

I suprised the boys with tickets to go see Thomas the train this past weekend. We had a wonderful time. We started out with the train ride, and then we got to pet some animals, read stories, play with trains, see Sir Topmhat, get tattoos, and get a picture with Thomas. We were lucky enough to not get rained on while we were there. Busy day but we had a great time.

San Diego

Okay, So I am a little late in posting pictures from our trip to San Diego, but at least I am doing it within the same month.

We flew out on the 8th of May for our trip and the boys were so excited. I didn't not tell them about it until the day before we left. They could not get enough of the airplanes and wanted to ride on every one of them. They did great on the flight and loved to meet the piliots.

We stayed at this hotel that had shuttle service to wherever we wanted to go. What a relief to me. The drivers were really fun and were so go to me and the boys. When we got there I decided we had had enough excitement with the plane ride so we just headed to the pool to swim for the afternoon.

Sea World

On Friday we headed to Sea World. They boys loved every part of it (almost). The first thing we did was feed the sea lions. I didn't think TJ would touch the fish, but he suprised me and did. They loved it. The Seagulls were alittle aggressive and we had to watch out for them but they had a blast doing that. We had to go through the shark exhibit 3 times. See the Shamu show 2 times and spent lots of time trying to get the dolphines to come over so we could touch them.

The only part that was not a hit was the 4-D Elmo Show. Neither of the boys liked wearing the glasses and that should have clued me in to what would happen next. We where about 10 minutes into the show and TJ freaked out. Screaming telling me he wanted to go. Stupid me put is right in the middle of the row. Luckly the movie was about over and he stuck it out. I don't think we will be trying a movie like that anytime soon.

I think Sea World was the favorite of the whole trip. TJ keeps telling me he misses Shamu and really want to see him again. This makes Jayden tell me that he really misses Shamu also.

The San Diego Zoo

Saturday we headed to the San Diego Zoo. I can't believe how big the zoo is. We started out the day looking at all the snakes and the Kamoto Dragon. That was pretty impressive. We saw a baby Gorilla and while we were there the mom started picking her nose and eating it. The boys laughed so hard. I guess we are decendents of monkeys (atleast the kids are).

TJ's favorite were the Polar Bears. Jayden loved it all. We got to see the Panda Bears and they were fun. I was glad we saw them when we did because later in the afternoon the line was huge. We rode on the double decker bus (on the top) that took us all around the zoo. That was a nice way to go. You could not see the animals as good if you were walking but it was a nice change of pace. We also rode on the sky ride that took you over the top of the whole zoo. You really could not see the animals but the boys just loved being up in the air.

Mission Beach

Sunday we headed off to Mission Beach. There was this really nice couple from Canada that we met and they had 2 boys the same ages as TJ & Jayden. They had a wonderful time playing with them. The boys loved splashing in the waves. Jayden fell a couple of times and that was the end of that for him but TJ could not get enough. Jayden was making friends with everyone. He had to tell everyone "HI" and if they didn't say "HI" back he was so upset. He was flirting one of the Lifeguards and got to go up in the tower and sit with her for a few minutes. It was pretty funny.

All in all the trip was wonderful. I was a little nervous to go with the boys by myself but it was the best thing for all of us. No outside distractions. Just us creating some wonderful memories. To be able to share all these things with the boys was priceless. The lookes on their faces, their funny comments and the one on one time was the best Mothers Day gift I could have ever asked for.
