Spring time is here....almost

We have actually had some decent days of weather this week. My mom is doing baby watch for my brothers kids this week so we have been having a wonderful time playing with cousins.

Jayden has become quite the Grandpas boy and has to help Grandpa do everything. He was very insistant that he help roll out the sod and that Grandpa not help. He can do it all by himself. Don't you just love independance.

Maycee (my brothers daughter) was observing Jayden as he was rolling out the sod and when Jayden was tired she was there to give him a little love.

Jayden loves to pick on anyone he can get his hands on. Maycee just happens to be the closest person at the time. Don't worry she gives it back just as fast.

Since we have become NASCAR lovers at our house the boys love to ride their bikes in a race. TJ is always Jeff Gordon and Jayden doesn't care who he is as long as he can give TJ a run for his money.

Now as I get ready to publish this post I look out the window at snow, wait it is rain, no snow...I wish it would make up its mind and just warm up.

Where's Jayden

"Quite" time at our house can be very interesting. I have discoved the best way to get Jayden down for his "quite" time is to have him lay down in is Thomas tent. So yesterday it was getting close to 4 and I went in to check on him. When I walked in this is what I found....

I opened up the door and there were blankets scattered everywhere. This is not unusal for Jayden, as he loves to put everything imaginable on the floor. His tent had fallen over and looked relativly flat and I could not see Jayden. As I made a closer examination I saw 2 little feet poking out of the bottom of the tent. The first thing that came to mind was the Wizzird of Oz when the house fell on top of the witch and all you could see were the feet. I was laughing so hard at this I had to share it with you. At least "Quite" time was successful and we had a happy little Jayden again.

Lets Go Fly a Kite

Last week at preschool TJ learned all about kites. His teacher sent him home with a SpiderMan kite which he is so excited about. So yesterday after church we went out side to put the kite together and found out we were missing a couple of key pieces. Not knowing if the pieces just didn't come with the kite or if the just got "misplaced" I will never now. So I told TJ we would get him replacement parts for his kite today. Unfortuantlly we were not able to get replacement parts. BUT....Grandma came to the rescue. We found the kites the boys got from Grandma and Grandpa last Easter and took them out for a test flight. It was great. The boys were in heaven for about 15 minutes and then they were done. Now I had just better find some replacement parts for the SpiderMan Kite!!

Baby Animal Days

Friday, the boys and I, along with their cousins spent Friday at the American West Heritage Center for "Baby Animal Days". I figured this was something we had not yet done and hey why not.

We started out the day riding ponies. The amazing part in the pony rides is that TJ loved it. Whenever I have tried to put him on a horse before he would freak out but he loved it this time. We took several wagon rides. The boys were very opinionated about which tractor they wanted pulling the wagon so 3 rides laters, 2 with tractors and one with horses, they were good to go. They had a great time petting the animals. There where pigs, goats, sheep, horses, cows, bunnies, and ducks just to name a few. Jayden was a little hesitant to pet the animals, which completely suprised me. He is usually right in there but this year TJ was that way. They boys loved to bunnies but Jayden got tired of holding it and just dropped it. I was informed by the lady overseeing the bunnies "Good thing it didn't land on its head". So besides for the cold windy weather, we had a great time.
